The match took a dangerous turn when Austin Theory, attempting a Spanish Fly from the top rope, landed on his head, causing significant harm to both competitors.
Referee intervention was immediate, leading to the match being stopped without a definitive result. WWE promptly provided an update on the injuries, stating, “Update: Austin Theory and Carmelo Hayes were examined for injuries after their SmackDown match. Both suffered facial contusions and are expected to recover.”
Meanwhile, Solo Sikoa, Roman Reigns’ brother, faced adversity on SmackDown. Sikoa, alongside Jimmy Uso, initiated a brutal assault on Cameron Grimes and later targeted Randy Orton in the main event. Despite the attacks, Randy Orton not only returned to the match but also led his team to victory. Post-match, Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles further compounded Solo Sikoa’s plight, delivering a triple powerbomb on the commentary table.
