Riddle acknowledged that Punk’s return would undoubtedly bring financial benefits to the company. Taking a light-hearted jab at WWE, he remarked,
“I’m not surprised by this (CM Punk’s return). They (WWE) just love money. CM Punk makes money, and he was making money in the same way in mixed martial arts. You see that guy. Can’t argue with someone who earns money and gives it back. This thing will work for UFC too. I know that if I fight there, then I will be able to help them sell tickets. If they want, they can call me.”
Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle Expresses Desire for MMA Return: In the interview with MMA Junkie, Matt Riddle revealed his longing to return to mixed martial arts. He shared,
“I feel like the idea of returning to mixed martial arts might be a bit intense. When you leave this sport, you often face challenges in your initial fights. I left the UFC with a 4-fight win streak. After that, I secured another victory in Titan FC. Following this, I transitioned from MMA to pro wrestling, where I’ve excelled. Pro wrestling is fantastic, but I still have the desire to face challenges in the MMA world again. I want to experience it all over again. It’ll be worth watching. Maybe someone will get the better of me, or perhaps I’ll continue to notch victories. The future is uncertain.”
