In a recent interview during the WWE 2024 Preview special show, the 45-year-old Punk discussed his uncertainty about the entry number for the Rumble match. Reflecting on his past experiences, including entering at number 1, Punk expressed a fondness for the lottery-style ball selection process, reminiscing about the fascination he felt as a fan. Despite not knowing his upcoming entry number, Punk seemed undeterred, stating that he would welcome the challenge of entering at number 1 once again.

“You said I entered the last Royal Rumble match at number 1, yes it’s true. I don’t know what number it will be now. I used to love those moments when the numbers were chosen in the big lotto balls, tumblers Used to be. When I was a fan, I always found this stuff fascinating and interesting. I would love to do it again, but honestly, the entry at number 1 is what catches my attention. A lot of people want to do that, but I don’t see any obstacles in that. I don’t understand. I am working hard and training hard for this so that I can be in the best shape and win all this.”

To provide context, CM Punk’s last participation in a WWE Royal Rumble match was in 2014, where he entered at number one. During that match, he managed to eliminate three superstars before ultimately facing elimination himself.
