Former WWE writer Vince Russo recently shared critical feedback on Legion of Raw, expressing concerns about the current booking strategy and the lack of character development in promos leading up to the Royal Rumble.

In a candid statement, Russo highlighted the absence of storytelling and character work, stating, “We’re on a path right now where everyone is a part of the Royal Rumble, and everyone’s path has been different leading up to the match. All of these promo segments are based on that theme. We’re people who understand the story and the characters. There is no story being shown here. There is no character development being shown for the superstars who want to win the Royal Rumble. We already know that everyone wants to win the Royal Rumble. I don’t want an hour on every show until he tells us about it.”

As the anticipation builds, several superstars have officially declared their entry into the Royal Rumble matches scheduled for the premium live event on February 27, 2024, at Tropicana Field stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida. The announced participants for the men’s Royal Rumble include Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Gunther. In the Women’s Royal Rumble, Becky Lynch, Bayley, Bianca Blair, and Nia Jax have confirmed their participation. Notably, fewer names have been announced compared to last year, promising increased excitement for the Rumble matches.
